What the risk tiers mean
Major, Established, High risk: a size label, not a rating.
One rule, applied to every token
Viru sorts tokens into three tiers by market cap, the total value of all the tokens in existence. Major is $5 billion and up, or a Coinbase-wrapped version of such an asset. Established is $300 million and up. High risk is everything below that.
Market cap is a rough measure of how big and widely held something is. Bigger usually means less wild price swings and easier to sell. Usually, not always.
What the tiers are not
They're not a score, a ranking, or advice. A Major token can still lose value. A High risk token isn't a tip. The label exists so you know what kind of thing you're looking at before you decide anything.
Memecoins
Memecoins are tokens with no product behind them, whose price depends entirely on attention. They can rise fast and fall faster, and many go to zero. Viru leaves them out for now: several keep part of every trade for themselves in ways no fee line shows, and Viru promises that every fee is shown before you sign.
